About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Officer in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry and/or deliveries, assisting with visitor sign-in, badge distribution, and directing individuals to appropriate areas as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from Allied Universal supervision and/or local emergency services when needed.
- Complete thorough shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
