About The Position

As a Security Officer - Corporate Welcome Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, greet residents and guests, verify credentials, and support security-related reporting and communication. You will monitor activity from the desk, respond to questions and concerns with professionalism, and work with your team to help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, residents, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures and access control guidelines at the front desk.
• Monitor and document guest check-ins, check-outs, visitor logs, and issuance of badges and/or keys per location policy, escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor front desk cameras, alarms, and/or communication systems, reporting suspicious activity and maintenance issues according to post orders.
• Complete detailed written reports and shift logs, including incident reports, service requests, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.
