As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, support access control and screening procedures, and complete routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening operations at a logistics and distribution location, including verifying identification and credentials, controlling access points, and directing visitors and/or drivers to the proper check-in process.
  • Inspect and/or screen packages, personal items, and designated areas as required by site procedures, documenting findings and escalating prohibited or suspicious items through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, medical events, and policy violations while coordinating with onsite management and/or public responders.
  • Monitor assigned areas using observation and available systems, complete detailed reports, and perform regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as directed by site requirements.
