Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control, greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, and support orderly entry and exit. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and document activity using site systems to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access points by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries and drivers to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic, including employee, visitor, and contractor movement, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yards, dock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns.
