About The Position

As a Security Officer - Customer Service Desk in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, guests, and/or tenants at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials as needed.
  • Assist with visitor and/or contractor sign-in and sign-out procedures, maintaining accurate records as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate with property management and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding any security-related concerns or unusual activity.
  • Support emergency response activities from the front desk, including alerting appropriate personnel and following emergency procedures.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries, offering directions, and/or assisting with general information requests.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access or undesirable activity within the location.
