About The Position
As a Security Officer - Customer Service Patrol in Bala Cynwyd, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly with residents and staff, and document observations and incidents with professionalism. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe arrivals and departures, verifying authorization as required by post orders and documenting issues for property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when needed and providing clear directions to responders.
- Complete detailed activity and incident reports, communicate notable observations during shift transitions, and report maintenance hazards, unsecured doors, and/or lighting concerns through the proper channels.
