Security Officer - Data Center Access Control

Job Description As a Security Officer - Routine Site Rounds in Chandler, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and data-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team, and respond to routine requests with a customer-first mindset. This role supports an agile, reliable, and innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and post orders at a technology location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems as assigned, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, medical response coordination, and/or communication with local first responders as directed.
- Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol activity, incident reports, access logs, and service requests, and communicate status updates during shift handoff.
