Job Description As a Security Officer - Area Patrol in Alpharetta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Control access to the location by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and reporting access issues per site procedures.
- Complete routine security-related reporting such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, communicating timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
