About The Position

As a Security Officer - Data Center Driver in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide strong customer service, clear communication, and quick response to requests while supporting a caring, integrity-driven team. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office, lab, and campus-style areas, including building interiors, common areas, loading areas, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor access points and observe employee, visitor, and contractor activity; help to deter unauthorized access by following established check-in practices and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, calls for service, medical situations, and/or disorderly conduct, and request assistance when needed.
Complete detailed activity and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
