As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and unusual activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and visiting guests. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas and the perimeter, observing for unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and help control entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization when required and directing visitors appropriately.
- Complete timely reports and logs such as patrol activity, incidents, and/or hazards, and communicate relevant updates to supervision and/or site leadership.
