As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests. You will support access control processes, assist employees and visitors with clear communication, and document activity while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security experience.
  • Client requires proof of HS diploma/GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control/badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management processes, including verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Complete routine reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
