About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operator in Mason, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor activity from a central post, coordinate officer response to incidents and service requests, and maintain clear radio and phone communication with site teams. You will help support routine patrol coverage, document security-related events, and deliver a customer-focused presence. You will bring agility, reliability, and integrity while working as one team in a caring culture.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
  • Receive and triage incoming calls, radio traffic, and alarm notifications; dispatch officers and/or notify appropriate responders based on established post orders.
  • Monitor CCTV and other security-related systems, identify irregular activity, and communicate observations to on-site personnel and/or management in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and shift activity in written logs and reports; maintain clear communication with supervisors and site contacts.
  • Support regular and random patrol operations by tracking officer locations, coordinating coverage for high-traffic areas, and assisting with incident response as needed.
