As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will coordinate real-time responses to security-related calls, monitor alarms and camera systems, and maintain clear radio and phone communications with on-site teams. You will document incidents, track patrol activity, and help direct resources to where they are needed most. Requirements

  • Have required 1+ years of Security Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring radios, phones, alarms, and/or camera systems; receive requests for assistance; and coordinate notifications to on-site officers and authorized personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, prioritizing calls, and relaying accurate information to responders.
  • Document security-related activity by completing incident reports, call logs, and shift summaries, and by maintaining chain of communication for events requiring follow-up.
  • Support routine and random patrol operations by dispatching officers to campus buildings and perimeter areas as needed, and by tracking status updates and checks for coverage.
