Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in Pontiac, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a fast-paced tech location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and maintaining accurate visitor and employee logs. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests, vendors, and employees according to site policy.
• Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms and/or communications channels; document irregular activity and report concerns to site leadership per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting first responders as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
