Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Ennis, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will support access control by greeting staff and visitors, confirming credentials, managing sign-in, and monitoring entry points. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to questions and concerns with professional communication. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Manage access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing visitors to proper check-in areas.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other access control systems; document unusual activity, access issues, and policy violations in reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, waiting areas, corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
