About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Patrol Full-Time in Wilmington, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will observe activity, document findings, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and respond to calls for assistance. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal contacts and/or local emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, yards, trailer areas, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor and/or driver activity, including verifying credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out processes, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete routine documentation and communicate with site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision regarding incidents, observations, and shift activity using required reports and communication tools.
