Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control in Ennis, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a healthcare location, you will monitor entry points, greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, and manage visitor sign-in using a computer and/or tablet. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Bring customer-focused service while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
Operate access control points by greeting entrants, verifying identification, issuing and tracking badges and/or visitor passes, and directing visitors according to site protocols.
Monitor entry and exit activity, maintain required access logs, and report irregularities according to post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
