About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Industrial Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control, and assist residents and guests with courteous communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify appropriate personnel as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential common areas, amenities, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing visitor parking and/or deliveries, and maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
