As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe activity, document concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security-related experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Control access to buildings and restricted areas by checking identification, supporting visitor processing, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving alarms and calls for service, coordinating with site contacts, and requesting public responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter routes, looking for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and other conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation as required, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and site personnel using radios and/or phones.
