About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Route in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will take a visible presence through routine patrols, assist with access control and incident response, and deliver clear, courteous communication to staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state, supporting mobile patrol coverage as needed. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while helping to reduce security-related issues.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, offices, lobby areas, parking areas and perimeter, noting and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Perform access control duties as assigned, including monitoring authorized entry, verifying identification and/or credentials when required and directing visitors to the appropriate destination.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports and pass-down notes, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
