As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points and visitor activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, with working conditions that may vary by post and weather.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access attempts; report concerns promptly and help to deter prohibited activity through visible presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarm response, access issues, and/or coordination with site personnel and public responders as directed.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, logging visitors and/or vehicles, and completing written and/or electronic reports of patrols, incidents, and observations.
