Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential apartment community, where you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist residents and guests with a calm, professional approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and support the team with integrity, reliability, agility, and a people-first mindset. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential apartment community.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, amenity areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access issues.
  • Control access as assigned by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, noise complaints, unauthorized entry, and/or medical situations, and promptly notify management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or property staff.
