As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail shopping location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, exterior perimeter, parking areas, and service corridors, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Help to identify and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and assist with crowd management during peak traffic and special events.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, maintain professional communication via radio and/or phone, and support access control at entrances, loading areas, and restricted spaces as assigned.
