About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driving Role Patrol in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests. You will complete detailed reports, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver a customer-first experience that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, offices, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, directing visitors, managing sign-in requirements when applicable, and reporting access concerns according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, suspicious activity, and/or disturbances, escalating to appropriate partners as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts during shift turnovers.
