As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Pinellas Park, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 08:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through established reporting channels.
Support daily operations by preparing reports, maintaining assigned post responsibilities, and assisting with crowd management, access control, and/or public assistance during routine activities or special events.
