As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting access control at a busy retail distribution location, you will greet associates and visitors, manage entry and exit procedures, verify credentials, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related incidents. You will perform routine patrols, stay highly visible, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, reporting irregular activity and documenting security-related observations per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, docks, staging areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
