Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Control Desk in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and support badge and access-control processes. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, monitor alarms and activity, and document updates using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at entry points within an industrial location.
  • Control entry and exit by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems to help identify unusual activity and report concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and document findings.
