Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Control Point in Christine, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a utilities location, you will manage access control at gates and entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and contractor activity, and document security-related events. You will remain visible while conducting routine patrols around assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and guests. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification, authorizations, and/or visitor credentials; issue and track temporary badges and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Screen inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian traffic as directed, verify scheduled appointments and work orders, and coordinate with site contacts for approvals and escorts when required.
  • Monitor cameras, access control panels, alarms, and communications equipment; document unusual activity and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter, and complete shift reports and incident documentation.
