As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet tenants and visitors, and keep clear logs and reports. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with strong customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
- Monitor security-related systems including CCTV, access control alarms, and intercoms, and communicate irregular activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting medical response, fire response, and evacuation procedures as directed by site policy.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and document observations in daily activity reports.
