Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet employees, contractors, and visitors while managing entry and exit points. You will verify credentials, follow site procedures, monitor activity using access systems, and document security-related events. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical location.
  • Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing badges, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Monitor gates, cameras, and access control systems, and complete security-related logs and reports for entries, exits, incidents, and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and assisting with site emergency procedures as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
