Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Control Full-Time in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and support badge and key control. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements.
  • Operate access control points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate check-in process.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity to help to deter unauthorized access, tailgating, and policy violations, escalating concerns through the designated reporting and response channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate personnel, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
