As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue and manage badges, and help control entry to restricted areas. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and drivers. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, processing sign-ins, and directing authorized personnel, drivers, and guests to approved areas.
  • Screen and/or inspect incoming and outgoing traffic as required, including monitoring packages, trailers, and deliveries for policy compliance and documenting exceptions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including docks, yards, and perimeter gates, to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify hazards, damage, and/or policy violations.
