About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Credential Screener in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, conduct entry screening and credential checks, and help guide people to the right areas with professional customer service. You will monitor assigned access points, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or telecommunications location.
  • Conduct entry screening activities such as checking identification and credentials, validating access authorization, and directing visitors through established screening points.
  • Monitor screening equipment and/or access points, watch for prohibited items or unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry by following posted protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or Allied Universal management as directed.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and perform periodic checks of nearby areas as assigned to support security-related operations.
