About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Gate Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badging, and monitor assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols as needed, and provide strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing individuals to approved areas.
  • Monitor and document vehicle and delivery access for a chemical and petrochemical location, including verifying shipping and receiving appointments and reporting irregularities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating promptly with site contacts and emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify unusual conditions, and complete required reports.
