Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support smooth operations by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and documenting security-related activity with clear communication and customer service. You will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter incidents, using a computer and/or tablet as needed. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by our agile, reliable, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Screen employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound property, parcels, and/or vehicles as required by post orders, using x-ray and/or metal detection equipment when assigned, and escalate questionable items per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting to Allied Universal leadership and location contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random presence checks of screening areas and nearby perimeters to help to deter unauthorized access, while monitoring alarms, cameras, and communication systems as assigned.
