As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will greet employees and visitors, conduct entry screening and access checks, monitor assigned areas, and complete routine patrols to help identify and help to deter security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly, document activity, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecommunications location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and contractors for authorized entry by verifying identification, issuing and/or checking badges, and directing guests according to site access requirements.
  • Conduct entry-point screening activities such as monitoring walk-through devices, performing hand-held screening, and/or completing visual bag inspections consistent with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance hazards and/or unusual conditions.
