About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols as directed, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals and property at designated entry points using walkthrough metal detectors, hand wands, x-ray systems, and bag checks to help to deter prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor check-in, issue and/or collect badges as directed, and control access to restricted areas per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, lobby areas, and perimeter areas as assigned, and complete required reports and log entries.
