About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in Miamisburg, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points by screening people, bags, and deliveries, verifying credentials, and documenting activity. You will maintain a visible, professional presence, communicate clearly with drivers, associates, and leadership, and respond to security-related concerns with care and integrity. Bring an agile mindset, teamwork, and reliable follow-through in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary badges as directed, and verifying authorization to enter.
  • Conduct security-related screening of packages, bags, and/or vehicles using approved methods and equipment, reporting prohibited or suspicious items to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, and nearby perimeter zones as assigned, monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter policy violations.
