About The Position

As a Security Officer Event Screener in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This role offers the chance to stay visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a government services location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or contractors as they enter the location, verify identification and appointments, and help to direct people to the appropriate area.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and waiting areas to help to identify unusual activity and support orderly operations throughout the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require attention and communicating them to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
