About The Position

As a Security Officer Event Screener in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support a professional, welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This role offers the chance to stay visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a government services location.
Screen visitors, staff, and/or contractors as they enter the location, verify identification and appointments, and help to direct people to the appropriate area.
Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and waiting areas to help to identify unusual activity and support orderly operations throughout the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require attention and communicating them to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
