About The Position

As a Security Officer - Event Security in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and requesting assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in reports and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership per post orders.
