As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide customer service through clear communication and timely reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will join a caring team that stays agile and reliable, brings innovative thinking to daily challenges, and acts with integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and maintaining required logs and documentation per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual conditions that could help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and escalate maintenance and/or operational concerns through the established chain of command.
