You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a tech and communications location.
  • Control entry and exit points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out logs, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and report irregular activity per post orders to help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying site contacts, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around office areas, common spaces, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
