As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a high-profile aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to support a professional, customer-focused environment. You will complete routine patrols and detailed reporting, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and contribute to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity. This is a driving post.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Manage access control by checking identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials when applicable, and directing visitors, vendors, and employees to the proper areas according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and restricted areas, and complete required log entries and reports to support access authorization and compliance requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
