About The Position

As a driving, unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols across assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, assist with access control and/or visitor guidance, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Security Experience ‐ 6+ Months.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter gates; working environments and conditions may vary by post and scheduled events.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or restricted-area access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate resources and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate key information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
