Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing visitors and vendors to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points, doors, gates, and/or access control systems, reporting irregular activity and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, checking restricted spaces, perimeter points, and access routes to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
