This is an armed post and a driving post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, directing arrivals to designated check-in areas, and maintaining accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor gate activity and vehicle entry by confirming deliveries, validating work orders as required, inspecting vehicles when authorized, and communicating access decisions to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operations areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or operational concerns for reporting.
