You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government transportation location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and other issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, post orders, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, fare areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, suspicious activity, and law enforcement requests, and coordinate notifications per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed written reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and follow-up actions to site leadership and/or public agency personnel.
