As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and support a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, clients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with site contacts and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization where required, and assist with visitor management and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate significant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
