As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials and badges, manage visitor and driver check-in, and help control access to restricted areas. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine rounds as needed, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver professional customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points for employees, visitors, and drivers by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and issuing temporary passes as directed by post orders.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle traffic at gates and dock areas, document deliveries and pickups as required, and coordinate with site contacts regarding access approvals and/or denied entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely reports and notifications per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
