As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will complete routine patrols, document observations, and deliver helpful customer service to shoppers and tenants. Requirements

  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, unsecured doors, loitering, and policy violations; help to deter issues through high-visibility presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, and alarms, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate noteworthy observations to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
